            <title>The Country Music Hall of Fame's Bakersfield Sound Exhibit</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>Scott was a consultant and contributor to the Country Music Hall of Fame's new exhibit, <a href="http://countrymusichalloffame.org/current/view/the-bakersfield-sound-buck-owens-merle-haggard-and-california-country" target="_blank">"The Bakersfield Sound: Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and California Country,"</a> which will run at the Nashville museum through the end of 2013.<br /><br /><iframe frameborder="0" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/azA0ONuvbX0?rel=0" width="640"></iframe></p><br /><p><br />Scott's essay, "Dim Lights, Thick Smoke, and Loud, Loud Music: The Story of the Bakersfield Sound," appears in the<a href="http://store.countrymusichalloffame.com/products/The-Bakersfield-Sound%3A-Buck-Owens,-Merle-Haggard,-and-California-Country-%28Official-Exhibition-Companion-Book-%29.html" target="_blank"> companion book</a> to the exhibit.&nbsp; Click the "buy" link on this site to get your own copy for $19.95.<br /><br />On Saturday, March 24th Scott moderated a <a href="http://countrymusichalloffame.org/calendar/view/1828?month=03&day=24&year=2012">panel discussion</a> at the Hall of Fame featuring Bakersfield Sound pioneers Red Simpson, Dallas Frazier, Rose Lee Maphis, Don Maddox, and Buddy Mize.&nbsp; Additionally, he participated on a <a href="http://countrymusichalloffame.org/calendar/view/1827?month=03&day=23&year=2012">writers' panel</a> on Friday, March 23rd.&nbsp; The Hall of Fame will soon post streaming video on their <a href="http://www.countrymusichalloffame.org">website</a>.<br /><br /></p>]]></description>

            <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://www.scottbbomar.com/images/Stoller-Elvis-Leiber.gif" alt="Stoller-Elvis-Leiber.gif" /> <br /><br />4th and State recently wrapped up a project for <a href="http://leiberstoller.com/" target="_blank">Leiber and Stoller Music</a> organizing and archiving their files, tapes, and various treasures collected during a 60  year partnership.  For those who don't know the team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, they wrote classic songs such as "Hound Dog," "Kansas City," "Jailhouse Rock," "Stand By Me," "Yakety Yak," "Charlie Brown," "On Broadway," "Love Potion #9," "Young Blood," "Is That All There Is?," and many more that led to their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  As businessmen, Leiber and Stoller published hits including "Good Rockin' Tonight," "Fever," "Chantilly Lace," "The Twist," "Da Doo Ron Ron," "Then He Kissed Me," "Be My Baby," Do Wah Diddy Diddy," "Good Lovin'," "Chapel of Love," "Under the Boardwalk," "Summer in the City," and "Happy Together."</p>]]></description>

The Philadelphia Enquirer says "Every Time It Rains", which appears on the band's "Soldiers of Love" CD, "exudes cool, pop-tinged atmospherics" and No Depression magazine calls it a "gorgeous weeper."</p>]]></description>

Scott is featured on the collection performing "Two Paper Town," a song he co-wrote with Steve Seskin.&nbsp; Critic Jay Orr commented, "Bomar hooked me with the tuneful and incisive 'Two Paper Town,' about  corporate America's continued narrowing of the dialogue of everyday life."</p>]]></description>
